I've been mulling over a couple of concepts for shooting in low light over the last couple of months. I've been wanting to use available light in a city street at night, particularly looking for colourful, neon signs to illuminate a model. I knew I had some free time in the centre of London coming up, so I got in contact with Storm a couple of weeks ago to see if they had anyone free for a test. Fortunately, the wonderful model Eve Deacon was available.
Eve wore natural style make up, with straightened hair and wore a plain, black dress. We walked around the Soho, China Town and Leicester Square for about an hour before sunset, so there would be some ambient light. I shot against neon signs, lights in the windows, and used any sources of light that were artificial to light Eve. Some of the images from the test shoot are below!
